A compact surface must accommodate a precise programme. A free-standing wall organises the space according to a clear, almost inevitable logic. It touches neither the existing walls nor allows itself to be touched. It divides, but does not separate.
Its thickness is what defines the spaces, establishing relationships between them while giving the wall a presence that extends beyond its function.
Light and the vernacular character of Sierra Elvira stone, quarried in Granada, dress the space, revealing its textures and nuances throughout the circadian cycle.
